Stainless Steel Alloys

Our stainless steel tubing is most commonly available in the following compositions:

  • Austenitic 304 (SUS304 / 1.4301): Needle tubes and hypotubes,etc.
  • 316L (SUS316L / 1.4404):This is an extra-low-carbon stainless steel alloyed with molybdenum (Mo). It offers significantly superior pitting and corrosion resistance compared to 304 stainless steel, making it better suited for implants and endoscopic components that come into long-term contact with human tissue or highly corrosive medicinal fluids.
  • Duplex 2205 (S32205):It is primarily used for large-scale reaction vessels in pharmaceutical plants, high-pressure chemical pipelines, and components of certain specialized interventional medical devices subject to extremely high loads.
  • Precipitation Hardening(17-4 PH (630), 15-5 PH):It is commonly used to manufacture high-strength, precision components—such as handles for minimally invasive surgical robots, complex drive shafts, and surgical forceps pivots—that must withstand repeated high-temperature, high-pressure sterilization without deforming.
